This policy explains what information 8Pool.io processes, why we use it and the choices available to you.

1. Who is responsible for your information
The operator of 8Pool.io (“8Pool.io”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Questions, privacy requests and complaints can be submitted through our contact page.
2. Information we process
Information you provide
- Account details: your name, email address, password in hashed form, email-verification status, preferred language and account timestamps.
- Authentication information: session identifiers, remember-me tokens and short-lived password-reset or email-verification data.
- Contact messages: the name, email address, subject and message you submit through the contact form.
Information processed automatically
- Technical and security data: IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps and related diagnostic or security records that our server and hosting infrastructure may generate.
- Rate-limit data: one-way hashes derived from identifiers such as an IP address and email address, used temporarily to prevent spam, repeated submissions and abusive login or registration attempts.
- Game data on your device: preferences, audio settings, local progress and gameplay statistics stored in your browser’s local storage. The current game does not send this local game record to our server.

We do not currently use personal information for advertising, behavioural profiling or decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Cookies and browser storage
8Pool.io uses an essential session cookie to keep the site secure and maintain your session. If you select “Remember me”, an additional authentication cookie may keep you signed in between visits. These cookies are required for the account and security features you choose to use.
The games use local storage to retain preferences and local gameplay information on your device. Local storage is not automatically sent with web requests in the way a cookie is, and you can remove it through your browser’s site-data controls. We do not currently place advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
5. When information is shared
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only when necessary to operate the service, respond to you or comply with law. Recipients may include:
- hosting, infrastructure, security and email-delivery providers that process information on our behalf;
- Telegram: contact-form submissions are delivered to the operator through the Telegram Bot API and may remain in the operator’s private Telegram chat until no longer needed;
- professional advisers, authorities or other parties when disclosure is reasonably necessary to establish or defend legal claims, protect users, investigate abuse or meet a valid legal obligation; and
- a successor operator if the service or its relevant assets are reorganised or transferred, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice requirements.
6. International data transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we use an available lawful mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual protections.
7. How long information is kept
- Account information is kept while your account is active and afterwards only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution or legal obligations.
- Sessions and reset data expire according to the service’s authentication and security settings.
- Contact rate-limit identifiers are generally cached for up to one hour; a one-way duplicate-message hash may be cached for up to 24 hours.
- Contact messages are retained only as long as needed to respond and maintain a reasonable support or security record.
- Server and security records are kept only for the period reasonably required for diagnostics, abuse prevention and infrastructure security.
- Local game data remains in your browser until you clear the site’s stored data.
We may retain limited information for longer when required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, including password hashing, encrypted cookies, request validation, rate limits and restricted access. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so we also encourage you to use a unique password and protect access to your email account.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you may have the right to request access to your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to certain processing, or receive a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
You can update your profile information through your account. For account deletion or another privacy request, use the contact page and provide enough information for us to verify the request securely. You may also complain to the data-protection authority in your country or region.
10. Children’s privacy
8Pool.io is not directed to children who are below the minimum age required to consent to online data processing in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child who cannot lawfully provide it. A parent or guardian who believes a child has created an account may contact us to request its review and deletion.
11. External links
Our guides may link to independent organisations and rules resources. Their websites operate under their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service, our providers or legal requirements change. The revised version will appear on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how registered users’ information is handled, we will provide additional notice where reasonably required.
