Speed Pool rules, controls and strategy

Play Speed Pool online free as a solo browser time trial. Clear all fifteen object balls in any order, wait for each stroke to finish and avoid fouls that add ten seconds. Your final result is table time plus penalties.

How to play Speed Pool

Break the full rack and pocket all fifteen object balls as quickly as possible. There are no groups, numbered rotation or called pockets. The timer begins with the first stroke and ends when the final object ball is legally cleared. Every foul adds ten seconds.

Speed Pool rules used in this game

Any ball, any pocket

Every active object ball is legal. Pocket any ball in any pocket and continue after all balls stop. Multiple balls on one stroke all count, so combinations and controlled cluster breaks can reduce the total number of shots.

Fouls and penalties

A scratch, object ball off the table, no object-ball contact, or a dry shot with no cushion after contact is a foul. Each foul adds ten seconds and gives cue ball in hand for the next stroke. An object ball driven off the table is spotted and does not count as cleared.

Timing

The game clock runs from the first stroke until the last object ball is pocketed. You cannot shoot while balls are moving. Opening the settings dialog pauses the game, so interface time is not added to the result. There is no bot difficulty because Speed Pool is a solo challenge.

Fast aiming without losing control

Aim with the pointer or your finger, set shot power and use the cue-ball selector for spin. Build a repeatable routine: identify the next ball while the current shot settles, confirm the line, then use the shortest reliable stroke.

Cue-ball movement should serve the next cluster or open ball. Excess power extends the time spent waiting for balls to stop and increases scratch risk. A slightly softer shot can improve both accuracy and real elapsed time.

Speed Pool strategy

Use a controlled break

Spread enough balls to create open choices while keeping the cue ball near the centre. A scratch costs ten seconds and interrupts the rhythm with ball-in-hand placement.

Clear easy balls while solving clusters

Do not remove every open ball immediately. Keep one or two insurance balls available near each cluster so a controlled cannon can open traffic and still leave a simple next shot.

Minimize total motion

The timer continues while balls roll. Prefer direct routes, pocket speed and short cue-ball travel. Hard multi-rail position may look fast but often adds several seconds and creates more collisions.

Avoid expensive risks

A difficult pot may save two seconds if made and cost ten or more if it produces a foul. Choose the percentage route. Use ball in hand after a foul to restore a clean pattern rather than rushing the next shot.

Plan the final three balls

Late-table mistakes are costly because few recovery balls remain. Choose an order that gives natural angles and leaves the easiest ball last. Avoid finishing with a cushion-bound ball or a long shot from the wrong side.
