How to play Bank Pool
Bank Pool uses all fifteen object balls. Every scoring attempt must send the called object ball to one or more cushions before it enters the called pocket. Score eight legal banks before the bot to win. A successful bank keeps your inning; a miss passes the table.
Choose the ball and pocket, then enter the cushion route in order. The object ball must follow that route cleanly before reaching the pocket.

What counts as a clean bank
The called ball must be the first object ball contacted, touch the selected cushions in the declared order and enter the selected pocket. A bank does not score if the object ball kisses another ball, the cue ball reaches a cushion before first contact, a combination or carom produces the pot, or the cushion sequence differs from the call. Pocket-jaw contacts immediately before the ball drops are not added to the declared route.
Opening break
Begin with cue ball in hand behind the head string. Pocket an object ball or drive at least four object balls to cushions. Balls made on the break do not score and are held for spotting when the inning ends. An illegal break lets the opponent accept the table or require a re-rack and repeat break.
Safeties, misses and fouls
Use the safety control when you intend to play defense rather than score. A legal miss or safety ends the inning. A scratch, object ball off the table, illegal kitchen shot, no object-ball contact, or no cushion or pot after contact is a foul. A foul subtracts one point and may create owed-ball debt. Three consecutive fouls lose the game after a warning.
Spotting balls
Unscored pocketed balls and off-table balls are returned according to the game’s spotting ledger. This keeps the race to eight meaningful and prevents an accidental or illegal pot from becoming a point.
How to call a bank shot
Select an object ball and pocket, then use the Rails control to add each cushion in contact order. The shot is released only after a complete call. If you want to play defense, declare a safety instead of entering a scoring route.
Aim for the mirror line between the object ball, cushion and pocket. Adjust for cut angle, speed and side spin: harder shots shorten many rebound angles, while running or reverse English changes the object ball’s path after cushion contact.
Bank Pool strategy
Start with one-rail banks
A one-rail cross-side or cross-corner bank is easier to measure than a multi-rail route. Learn how speed changes the rebound before adding side spin or another cushion.
Control both balls
The scoring ball must avoid kisses, but the cue ball also needs a safe route. Use stun or draw to keep it away from traffic and to preserve an angle for the next bank.
Choose pockets with margin
A bank that approaches along the pocket’s open line accepts more error than one that catches the near point. Compare both the geometric route and the final entry angle before committing to the call.
Use safety play early
Do not attempt a low-percentage three-rail bank simply because a scoring shot is available. Leave the cue ball on a cushion, block direct bank lanes and move an object ball toward a position that favors your next inning.
